It’s the same one each time
a dandelion clock drifts by
on its way to fairyland
as contended and untroubled
as the wish
I have for you both.

I was actually thinking of my daughters with this painting – whenever I make a wish on a dandelion clock or a shooting star, I always wish for their happiness. In pretty pastel colours of lilac, pink, green and yellow, this scene is of a woman walking through semi-abstract florals, including white dandelion clocks. The feeling is of hope.
